PRE–CONFERENCE PROGRAMMING
Thanks to generous grants from The Henry Luce Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation* and One Nation, Religion Newswriters is pleased to announce this year's pre-conference programs for religion reporters. Events will take place Sept. 17-18, 2008, in Washington, D.C., preceding RNA's Annual Conference there.
This year's pre-conference programming includes:
Covering Islam
• Sept. 17, 2008
• 8 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Cost: $35 / FREE for scholarship recipients
• Mandatory attendance for conference scholarship recipients
• This program includes continental breakfast, lunch and dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Getting Up to Speed on Multimedia: a Practical Primer for Print Religion Journalists
• Sept. 18, 2008
• 7:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
• Cost: $10 / FREE for scholarship recipients
• This program includes continental breakfast and lunch on Thursday, Sept. 18.
Who can attend pre-conference programs?
Anyone is welcome to register for pre-conference programs. Individuals may sign up for both programs. Space is limited to 60 participants for each program and is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
