600+ women gather to share lessons and find inspiring ways Muslim and Jewish women are leading community efforts to rise up against hate


WHO: Muslim and Jewish Women from 27 States and District of Columbia including religious scholars, activists and educators and college students forming partnerships on campuses

WHAT: 4th Annual Conference of the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom featuring plenary speakers and 25 workshops including:

Anita Diamant, NYT Bestselling Author of Red Tent

Dr. Ingrid Mattson, former president of the Islamic Society of North America

Rana Abdelhamid, founder of the International Muslim Women’s Initiative for Self-Empowerment (I’M WISE)

Book Signings with authors including Anita Diamant, Rabia Chaudry, Letty Cottin Pogrebin, Haroon Moghul and Mehnaz Afridi.

Film Screening of the documentary  Of Many and opportunity to meet Rabbi Sarna, Imam Khalid Latif, Chelsea Garbell and Linda G. Mills.

Award Ceremony celebrating Hyatt Hotels and Microsoft Corporation for their extraordinary campaigns about living in harmony and embracing diversity.


The Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom is a national organization with 120 chapters around the country that seeks to foster strong relationships between Muslim and Jewish women based on developing trust and respect and ending anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish sentiment.
