About the scholarships
RNA invites journalists to apply for scholarships to attend the 59th RNA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., Sept. 17–21, 2008. Stipends up to $900 will be awarded for registration, hotel and travel fees to attend RNA's Annual Conference and pre-conference programming.*

Who is eligible
All journalists who work for the general circulation (non-religious) news media are welcome to apply. Priority will be given first to active RNA members, and then to those journalists who have never received a conference scholarship (or fellowship).

In addition to RNA's scholarships, the Scripps Howard Foundation has again generously provided $4,500 in scholarship funds for minority journalists.

Application forms are available online (PDF). If applying for a minority scholarship, be sure to check the appropriate box.

The deadline to apply for aid is July 21, 2008. Recipients will be notified by Aug. 1, 2008.
