CALL FOR ENTRIES: 2018 Chandler Award for Excellence in Student Religion Reporting

No entry fees // $600 1st place prize + travel to #RNA2018 in Columbus

Students are invited to submit work published in campus newspapers and magazines in the 2018 Chandler Award for Excellence in Student Religion Reporting.

RULES

  • Submit at least one and up to three religion stories published in the 2017–18 academic year (summer–spring) in campus newspapers and magazines or in general circulation newspapers during a student internship. Blogs are not eligible.
  • Students may enter as many times as they like (three stories per entry).
  • Students need not be RNA members to enter.
  • Only students who have never been employed as newspaper reporters or editors are eligible.

HOW TO ENTER

  • Compile story URLs (preferred). Alternately, students can combine the text of the stories into a single Word or PDF document per entry.
  • Complete an entry form at RNA.org. There is no fee for entry.
  • Deadline: May 4, 2018

PRIZES

  • 1st place: $600 and citation
  • 2nd place: $300 and citation
  • 3rd place: $150 and citation

Winners will also receive stipends to attend the 2018 RNA Annual Conference in Columbus, Sept. 13–15.
